BIO COMING SOON
Dr. Geiger was born and raised in Southern California and has been in the veterinary field off and on since she was a young girl (she watched her first surgeries on horse and dog respectively on a vacation in rural Wyoming when she was 10 years old). She knew from the time she could talk that she wanted to be a veterinarian and a professional baseball player. She knew that baseball player was not likely so she focused on medicine but did however play fast pitch softball from the time she was 4. She volunteered and worked at both small animal and Wildlife clinics all through high school and college. She received a softball scholarship to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&T) where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Animal Science in 2005. She even managed to play a year of softball for Tuskegee during veterinary school. You can still you can find Dr. G on a field any given night/weekend. During veterinary school she completed countless externships in exotic, wildlife and Zoo medicine. After graduation from Tuskegee in 2009 she completed a year long internship in wildlife medicine at C.R.O,W. on Sanibel Island, Florida and another year long internship in wildlife, exotics and zoo medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada before making her way back to North Carolina.

I just wanted to take a moment to fully express how much we've grown to love Cumberland Animal Hospital and all of the staff (my entire household considers them all friends), over the years. We see them frequently wether it's for annual check ups, emergencies & boarding. The staff has always exceeded in all areas of what's typically expected at a Veterinary clinic and you instantly know it, when Demali greets you as you walk in; customer care, attention to detail, thorough explanations, communication, accomodating scheduling, and their obvious true love for all animals and their well being. A truly refreshing experience within any industry.

They see all of our personal furry family members & both of my sister's have also became clients of Cumberland Animal Hospital. Again, we see them often; it's legitimately one of our children's favorite places to go. Dr. Geiger & (Jenn and Elise - who ALWAYS helps us and Lambeau and is there a lot during boarding :/ I'm obviously exhausted) both hold a very special place in their hearts because of the time they take with them, explaining whatever process they may be doing and by making sure they know how to be responsible pet owners (medical jars of fun organs and parasitic worms are just an awesome perk, haha).

Dr. Geiger and her team of amazing women, also legitimately saved my sister's newly adopted kitten's life. Literally, as soon as I heard all the going-ons with her kitten, all I knew was that we had to get her in to see Dr. Geiger. After a very thorough, methodical attack plan to save her kitten - it all worked & it wasn't a crazy monetary amount (it wasn't the unfortunate, typical, immediately jumping to spending thousands of dollars, etc...); just correct judgment on the treatment plans to get her healthy. She is THRIVING & my sister is beyond grateful.
We are so happy to have found them - the dynamics between them all, our families & our pets - is awesome! We just love them.
